Mayor Corbett asked if this will be coordinated with entryway improvements. Wandzia replied, <br />yes. <br />Julian Polvorosa - Asked if street monuments will be graffiti proofed. Bob Rockett said every <br />effort is being made to make them graffiti proof. Council Member Polvorosa said nine to eleven <br />teenagers have been arrested in the Washington Manor Area for graffiti. Council Member <br />Polvorosa also said that our City does better than any other community in the area of graffiti <br />removal. <br />Garry Loeffler - Asked if the median landscape between Fairway and Doolittle Drives is <br />maintained by the City. Mike Oliver replied the service is contracted out. <br />Redevelopment Agency Projects <br />Robert Rocket - Stated 20 additional parking spaces will be added in the Pelton Shopping Center. <br />Garry Loeffler - Suggested that Hays Street have diagonal parking for business. Mike Oliver <br />directed Bob Rockett to look into this request. <br />Pedestrian Safe , Program <br />Does the City have beeping signals at intersections? Engineering is working on one intersection <br />of the City. <br />Garry Loeffler asked if there was a data source that indicates the number of blind people residing <br />in San Leandro. Mayor Corbett stated that Barbara Bock, a citizen in San Leandro, might be <br />able to supply us with that information. <br />The Mayor asked what the cost would be to install a wheelchair ramp. Bob Rockett stated that it <br />can be between $800 to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on individual site requirements. <br />Marina Enterprise <br />Garry Loeffler - Asked how the City stands financially to deal with projects supported by this <br />fund. <br />John Jermanis - Will provide information regarding this question at the next meeting. <br />Julian Polvorosa - Asked what the new Marina storage shed will look like. Bob Rockett said it <br />will look very attractive Mike Oliver said staff will consider pulling this item. <br />Julian Polvorosa - Asked what type of landscaping will be planted in the front of El Torrito <br />Restaurant. Bob Rockett said the same landscaping that is planted at North Dike Road, to <br />maintain consistency. <br />50 <br />2 <br />
