City of San Leandro - Parking Enforcement <br />Scope of Work - LAZ Parking <br />19 <br /> <br />Performance Standards <br />The Contractor will be responsible for adhering to the City’s Parking Enforcement Performance <br />Standards, listed below: <br /> <br />Parking Citations Issued an Error <br />Any parking citations that are issued in error must be brought to the City’s designee <br />immediately after issuance. Parking Enforcement Officers (PEO) are not allowed to void <br />citations. Voided parking citations will be recorded and monitored via the citation database. <br /> <br />Acceptable Time Gaps between Parking Citations <br />All PEOs are expected to be patrolling and issuing appropriate citations/warning notices as <br />necessary during their shifts. A PEO must be able to account for all time and streets patrolled <br />during each shift by producing a valid Daily Activity Report (DAR). <br /> <br />Customer Service <br />Contractor’s employees shall professionally conduct themselves at all times. Contractor shall <br />investigate and take appropriate action for all customer complaints regarding contracted <br />employees (including improper use of equipment). Contract Executive will oversee such <br />investigations and report their findings to the City promptly. <br /> <br />Weekly Operations Meeting <br />The Contractor shall meet with the City’s authorized representative(s) weekly to review <br />operational, safety, and performance issues. In addition, Contractor shall have the Contract <br />Executive overseeing the contract meet with the City once per month. <br /> <br />Liquidated Damages <br />The following are the proposed liquidated damages that would be incorporated into the <br />Contractor’s agreement: <br /> <br />Adhering to Enforcement Schedule and Staffing Levels <br />If the Contractor fails to meet its schedule and staffing obligations, provide the parking <br />enforcement services as mutually established in the Scope of Work, the City will issue a written <br />warning. If such an incident occurs again, the Contractor will be assessed liquidated damage of <br />$500. Should a similar violation occur again during the contract term, the Contractor will be <br />assessed liquidated damages without the benefit of warning in the amount of $500 per <br />incident. <br /> <br />Reporting <br />If the Contractor fails to submit any reports identified in the Scope of Work, the City will issue a <br />written warning. If the Contractor fails to remedy the issue within 1 business day from receiving
