San Leandro charges for processing residential development permits. In addition, other fees such as impact fees may be assessed, depending upon the circumstances of the development. Development permit fees are used to cover the cost of reviewing a development proposal. Fees in the Planning Services Division are based on either direct costs or a fixed fee.
