Comments Addressed, All comments listed above are to be addressed prior to submitting to <br />the Building Division. <br />V.' ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS <br />46. Plan Check. A formal plan check review will be completed at time of building permit <br />submittal. <br />47. Deferred Submittal. A Deferred Submittal is required for <br />a. The installation of a fire protection system meeting the requirements of NFPA 13 <br />2016 edition. <br />b. The installation of a Fire Alarm system meeting the requirements of NFPA72 2016 <br />edition. <br />c. The Underground Fire Supply Line. <br />d. The Fire Pump Room (Building Permit) and Fire Pump (Fire Permit). <br />e. Carbon Monoxide Detection system for the garage if it does not meet the <br />requirements of being open. <br />f. The installation of the generator for the Mechanical Ventilation System in the garage <br />activated by the Carbon Monoxide detectors. <br />48. Clarification. Clarification is required for <br />a. The communication between he fire floor lobby and the second floor patio (Exterior <br />Stairs). <br />b. The door hardware to the exterior stairs. To maintain security, doors may be required to <br />be locked which could pose an issue. <br />49. Hydrants. Two hydrants are required per Appendix C or the CFC 2019 edition based on the <br />size of the building and construction type of the building (Appendix B). <br />50. No Parking. The access routes on either side of the building shall be posted that parking is <br />not allowed either by a sign or red curbing. <br />51. Fire Extinguishers. Fire Extinguishers shall be provided per the code. <br />52. Walkways. Elevated walkways or designated walkways shall be provided from the stairwells <br />to the public way. <br />53. Emergency Lighting. Emergency lighting shall be provided with an average of 1-foot candle <br />at the floor along the means of egress routes. In addition, the exterior walkways to the public <br />way shall be illuminated. This may also include the patio area on the second floor. <br />54. Exit Signs. Illuminated exit signs shall be provided indicating the means of egress route. <br />55. Elevator Shafts. Openings to the elevator shafts shall be protected by a rated smoke door. <br />56. Battery Systems.
