The Redevelopment Agency and CDBG staff will continue to work <br />closely with the City's Affordable Housing Task Force, and local nonprofit shelter agencies to identify <br />affordable housing activities, and transitional housing needs respectively. <br />Public Services/Capital Improvement Projects <br />Public Services will be supported by both the CDBG and the City's Community Assistance Fund <br />(general funds); efforts will continue to include the Human Resources Commission and nonprofit <br />agency directors/members to further improve and evaluate the needs assessment and funding process. <br />CDBG funds are expected to be made available for nonprofit and City -initiated capital improvement <br />projects. Nonprofit improvements will be coordinated with the CDBG staff and the nonprofit agency. <br />City projects will be coordinated within the City's Development Services and <br />Engineering/Transportation Departments, and City Council. <br />Business Revitalization <br />Revitalization efforts will be initiated by the City's Economic Development Coordinator and directed by <br />City Council. Staff works closely with the Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Business Association, <br />the East Bay Small Business Development Center, surrounding communities, and various economic <br />development organizations to best determine the City's future needs. <br />PUBLIC HOUSING IMPROVEMENTS AND RESIDENT INITIATIVES <br />The City of San Leandro does not contain any public housing. <br />3 <br />
