Task 6: Community Workshop #1 <br />Use slides to review conditions, issues, and initial design options along MacArthur Boulevard. <br />Use photographs of streets and frontages in other communities as appropriate to compare and <br />contrast conditions, options, and materials. Focus discussion on preferences related to district <br />character, subareas, design options, and possible special feature(s) (see Task 7c, below). Note <br />recommended modifications to design options and/or elements of different options as needed. <br />Task 7: Initial Master Plan Recommendations <br />A. Preliminary Master Plan —Prepare refined Key Plan, indicating extent of preferred <br />subareas/segments, major streetscape improvements to -scale including intersection <br />configurations, and phasing approach. <br />B. Enlarged/Typical Segment Plans (4)—Based on previous input from staff, the RAC and <br />participants at Workshop #1, prepare refined and/or new design plans for street segments. <br />Plans will consist of to -scale typical plan view and cross-section drawings, with annotations. <br />C. Special Feature(s) Sketches (2)—Prepare sketch illustrations for up to two special features; <br />features could be a landmark/gateway, trellis/arbor (i.e., along the freeway wall), or other item <br />identified by the RAC or Workshop #1 participants. Prepare concept -level cost estimate. <br />Sketches may be to -scale elevations, "thumbnail" perspective drawings, site plan, and/or <br />combination depending upon the feature. <br />Task 8: Staff/RAC Review/Work Meeting #2 <br />Review and critique initial recommendations. Identify needed refinements or modifications prior to <br />Workshop #2. <br />Task 9: Refinements/Modifications <br />Per staff/RAC input. <br />Task 10: Community Workshop #2 <br />Use slides to re -cap Workshop # 1 issues and recommendations. Focus discussion on additional <br />modifications needed related to subareas design, special features, and phasing. Record <br />recommended modifications to design options and/or elements of different options as needed. <br />Task l 1: Staff/RAC Review/Work Meeting 43 <br />Review modifications or refinements needed per Workshop #2, and more detailed <br />recommendations and/or descriptions of options and phasing for Draft Master Plan Report. <br />EXHIBIT A Page 3 of 5 <br />AGRE\Gal III3rrA.DOC (word 6.0) <br />
