Exhibit A <br />page 6 of 8 <br />In addition, the City of San Leandro will provide three (3) volunteers per <br />rodeo. These volunteers will be paid by the City of San Leandro for the time <br />worked at the rodeo - including set-up and breakdown. Safe Moves will <br />submit time sheets to the City of San Leandro for each volunteer for each <br />particular event. <br />Fee per rodeo: $ 1,300.00 <br />Total fee for 6 rodeos: $ 7,800.00 <br />3. Senior Citizen Traffic Safetv Presentations <br />Safe Moves will conduct _three (3) traffic safety presentations at community <br />centers and churches for senior citizens. The workshops will address the <br />sensitive issues of physical limitations of seniors and the crucial need for <br />them to reach their destinations (e.g. medical appointments, food shopping). <br />The presentations will incorporate discussions, traffic exhibits, slide shows <br />demonstrating various traffic situations in San Leandro, administration of <br />transportation surveys to assess the travel habits of participants. The <br />transportation surveys will be provided to the City of San Leandro for <br />evaluation. <br />The following outlines the information taught in the senior citizen <br />workshops. <br />Pedestrian Education <br />• safe places to walk <br />• unsafe places to walk <br />• personal safety <br />• crosswalks (controlled and uncontrolled) <br />• recognition and avoidance of common pedestrian collisions <br />• attire (bright colored clothing, proper shoes, glasses, walkers, canes, etc.) <br />• precautions to take at dawn and dusk <br />Public Bus Education <br />• getting on and off the bus safely <br />• avoiding danger zones of the bus <br />• safe passenger habits <br />• personal safety on the bus and at the bus stop <br />Page 6 of 8 <br />
