These volunteers will be paid by the City of San Leandro for the time worked at the rodeo - including set-up and breakdown. Safe Moves will submit time sheets to the City of San Leandro for each volunteer for each particular event. Fee per rodeo: $ 1,300.00 Total fee for 6 rodeos: $ 7,800.00 3. Senior Citizen Traffic Safetv Presentations Safe Moves will conduct _three (3) traffic safety presentations at community centers and churches for senior citizens. The workshops will address the sensitive issues of physical limitations of seniors and the crucial need for them to reach their destinations (e.g. medical appointments, food shopping). The presentations will incorporate discussions, traffic exhibits, slide shows demonstrating various traffic situations in San Leandro, administration of transportation surveys to assess the travel habits of participants. The transportation surveys will be provided to the City of San Leandro for evaluation. The following outlines the information taught in the senior citizen workshops. Pedestrian Education • safe places to walk • unsafe places to walk • personal safety • crosswalks (controlled and uncontrolled) • recognition and avoidance of common pedestrian collisions • attire (bright colored clothing, proper shoes, glasses, walkers, canes, etc.) • precautions to take at dawn and dusk Public Bus Education • getting on and off the bus safely • avoiding danger zones of the bus • safe passenger habits • personal safety on the bus and at the bus stop Page 6 of 8
