Completion of the Rodeo Course <br />Each bicyclist and pedestrian wins prizes for his/her successful ride and/or <br />walk through the course. Prizes will consist of discount coupons to local <br />attractions. <br />Each traffic safety rodeo will effectively provide students with an opportunity <br />to practice what they have been taught in the workshops conducted at their <br />school. The traffic simulation course features sidewalks, streets, bike lanes, <br />crosswalk signals, traffic signs, railroad tracks with trains, alleyways, cars, <br />buses, trucks, business districts and houses with driveways. The course <br />allows students to practice bicycle handling skills, pedestrian safety and how <br />to behave in general traffic situations. By using this realistic environment, <br />the students' ability to recognize and react to traffic hazards is improved. <br />Safe Moves will provide the following equipment and materials: <br />I. all traffic rodeo props <br />2. registration booth <br />3. rodeo banner featuring San Leandro identification <br />4. fifteen bicycles for use on rodeo course <br />5. 30 bicycle helmets for use on rodeo course <br />6. Certificate of Insurance <br />The City of San Leandro will be responsible for scheduling the rodeo at the <br />community event and coordinating dates with Safe Moves. Safe Moves will <br />require at least thirty (30) days notice of a community event in order to <br />confirm the schedule. Once the event is confirmed, Safe Moves will make <br />arrangements (site, set-up and breakdown time, etc.) with the event official. <br />Paee 9 of R <br />
