Discussion Regarding Committee Meeting Dates and Times <br />The Committee agreed to meet the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. <br />6. Public Comments <br />Charles Gilcrest commented regarding the composition of the Official Family. He noted that <br />members of the Redevelopment Advisory Committees do significant work and make policy <br />recommendations to the Council, and they should be recognized for their work. <br />Lou Filipovich commented regarding front yard standards, noting that the cost to residents to <br />keep up the standards needs to be considered. Mr. Filipovich commented regarding the <br />Administrative Code and the differences between a Charter City and a General Law City. He <br />commented regarding the Official Family, the Oath of Office, and appointments to boards and <br />commissions. Mr. Filipovich expressed interest in a ballot measure opposing the City's business <br />license tax measure. <br />Dan Walters commented that as a member of the West San Leandro Project Area Redevelopment <br />Advisory Committee, he appreciates the opportunity to serve on the Committee and review items <br />and make recommendations. <br />7. Committee Member Comments <br />Committee Member Stephens commented regarding consideration for strengthening the existing <br />parking ordinances, which was referred to the Committee from the City Council in November. <br />Mr. Jermanis noted that parking enforcement will be discussed as part of the work session on <br />community standards in February, and the Council will need to determine how best to commit its <br />existing resources. <br />Committee Member Nardine commented that she would like to see a report generated from <br />Access San Leandro to see how many issues are entered and how many are resolved. Ms. <br />Ornelas commented that most requests are entered by staff on behalf of citizens that call the City. <br />Committee Member Nardine suggested that an analysis of the data might indicate to the Council <br />what its priorities should be. <br />8.
