City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: September 6, 2022 <br />Staff Report <br />Agenda Section:File Number:22-503 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number:10.m. <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Fran Robustelli <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />TITLE:Adopt a Resolution to Authorize the City Manager to Enter into a Consulting <br />Services Agreement with Environmental Science Associates for the Long Beach <br />Restoration Study Project, Project No. 2020.3060 for an Amount Not to Exceed <br />$414,500 Using Grant Funding <br />COUNCIL PRIORITY <br />·Public Safety <br />·Infrastructure <br />·Sustainability & Resiliency <br />·Community Engagement and Outreach <br />SUMMARY <br />This City Council action will authorize the City Manager to execute a Consulting Services <br />Agreement (CSA) with Environmental Science Associates (ESA) for the Long Beach Restoration <br />Study Project. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a CSA with ESA <br />for up to $414,500 for the Long Beach Restoration Study Project. <br />BACKGROUND <br />In Fall 2020, San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority (SFBRA) awarded the City of San Leandro <br />$514,500 in Measure AA grant funding to perform design studies of the Long Beach Restoration <br />Study Project. The grant will provide for planning studies of the restoration work, including <br />environmental studies and community engagement, to prepare 35% complete conceptual design <br />of the preferred alternative, to develop a probable cost estimate, and to identify permitting needs <br />for the restoration. <br />The project is a multi-phased project that begins with a study, which will result in conceptual <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 8/31/2022
