City of San Leandro <br />Civic Center, 835 c.14th Street — <br />San Leandro, California 94577 I - ``-��"'�`� _ "'' <br />Office of the Mayor 415-638-4100 <br />April 25, 1972 <br />Board of Directors <br />Eden Hospital District <br />20103 Lake Chabot Road <br />Castro Valley, CA 94546 <br />Gentlemen: <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro has recently received <br />numerous reports from citizens and local organizations as to <br />positions and actions of the Board of Directors of Eden Hospital <br />District. The Council is concerned over the statements contained <br />in these reports. It is the opinion of the Council that full <br />discussion of these reports and a free flow of information between <br />our two governing entities are essential. <br />The City Council therefore requests that your Board appoint a com- <br />mittee of the Board to meet with a committee of the Council to <br />discuss major questions affecting Eden Hospital and the citizens <br />of this City. Subjects for discussion would include the proposed <br />hospital improvements, tax rates, financing procedures and all <br />aspects of relationships between the City of San Leandro, its <br />citizens, and Eden Hospital District. <br />We suggest the initial meeting between these committees take place <br />on May 8, 1972, at the Conference Room of the City Council at the <br />City Hall, 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, immediately following <br />the adjourned meeting of the Council on that date. -The agenda for <br />the Council meeting will be kept short in order to allow this pro- <br />posed meeting to convene at approximately 7:15 p.m. <br />Our discussion may, hopefully, lead to steps beneficial to both <br />the District and the City.
