Rest breaks are not recorded on the Time and Attendance platform but are <br />scheduled at each location. Meal waivers are signed at the time of onboarding. <br /> <br />EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION <br />Pay is validated before final payment is processed and provided to employees. It is distributed by direct <br />deposit, pay cards and to a small extent, by manual check. Extremely detailed pay vouchers are provided <br />electronically in compliance with state and federal regulations. <br /> <br />AUTOMATED PAYROLL THROUGH ADP <br />Consultant uses an automated payroll system from ADP. Manual checks are only issued upon <br />termination of an employee, to comply with the state mandated deadline that a terminated employee shall <br />receive their last check no more than two days following their termination. The firm uses an automated <br />system through ADP called Vantage. Time is uploaded from their Time and Attendance system from a <br />CSV file into a batch in ADP. Multiple rates are automated based on type of work performed, employees’ <br />rate, and the location of where the work is <br />performed. All minimum wages are built in to assure compliance. Minimal override is required. <br />All employees in their payroll system have a base rate of pay and home department that is determined at <br />the time of hire. If the employee hits overtime in this situation, then we use the California blended OT <br />calculation to pay the employee due to the two different rates for the week. The travel time would be paid <br />at the rate of the starting location, unless otherwise adjusted by the manager. <br /> <br /> <br />Supervising and Deployment <br />The Supervisor plays a critical role in the success of parking enforcement operations. Through their <br />leadership and guidance, parking enforcement officers are well trained and prepared to enforce parking <br />ordinances and assist motorists in the City’s they serve. Supervisors are briefed daily by management and <br />City representatives in changes to their daily operations as it relates to parking enforcement.
