<br /> <br /> <br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised 11/03/2022 <br />ALEX GREENWOOD GROUP FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE Exhibit A – Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />Deliverable #2: Launch implementation of recommendations including: <br /> <br /> <br />1D: Begin to implement recommendations to improve/strengthen services provided to San Leandro <br />businesses by business assistance organizations currently active in San Leandro. This includes <br />recommendations to: <br />• Expand the capacity of the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce. <br />• Strengthen the San Leandro Black Chamber of Commerce. <br />• Establish a San Leandro Asian American (or constituent community) Chamber of Commerce <br />and/or San Leandro Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. <br />• Alternatively, implement recommendations to strengthen connections with regional Chambers <br />serving San Leandro Asian American or Hispanic communities. <br /> <br />1E: Implement recommendations to establish high-impact assistance services to San Leandro businesses, <br />with a goal of establishing services by at least three organizations not currently providing significant services <br />locally. Negotiate and craft Memoranda of Understanding (MOU’s) to support new or augmented services, <br />communications, and associated performance measures with assistance providers. <br /> <br /> <br />Task 2: Expansion of Shop Local Program <br />Expand on the City’s shop local efforts using social media, promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, and <br />events to promote small businesses, encourage residents to patronize them, and offset pandemic-related <br />damage. <br />Deliverable #1: Develop a Shop Local workplan: <br />2A: Develop a Shop Local workplan that includes the following: <br />• Design an integrated marketing and promotional campaign including: social media, City website <br />content, e-newsletters, media alerts and press releases (timed to coincide with the editorial <br />calendars of the East Bay Times and other key periodicals), media placements in key websites <br />and social media feeds for the Chamber of Commerce and other local partners, and other <br />tactics. <br />• Asses existing logo fit for ongoing promotion of the program. Develop options (with pricing) to <br />use the logo for promotional merchandise (reusable shopping bag, car decal, hat, shirt, etc.). <br />• Develop detailed recommendations and approach for holding a series of promotional special <br />events (or tie-ins to existing Chamber events) in coordination with local partners like San Leandro <br />Improvement Association (SLIA) for 2023. <br />• Review existing gift card program for potential improvements. Incorporate gift cards into event <br />and promotional campaign efforts. <br />• Prepare an internal report to City staff with recommendations for City staff and contractor efforts. <br /> <br /> <br />Task 3: COVID Recovery Grant Program <br />Develop and implement grant programs to address pandemic recovery and adaptation needs of San Leandro <br />businesses. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 244A0595-7446-446F-BDD4-0F31CAF66802
