<br /> <br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between <br />City of San Leandro and Silman Industries—Exhibit A Page 28 of 30 <br />Traffic Control Plans day <br />Performance of unauthorized work $250.00 per each incident <br />Performance of work outside of approved working hours <br />without written approval <br />$500.00 per hour <br />Failure to provide adequate Project Site Maintenance 24/7 $500.00 per each calendar <br />day <br />Storage of equipment and/or materials in public streets $500.00 per each calendar <br />day/incident <br />Failure to immediately remove false bottoms from <br />manholes and storm inlets <br />$250.00 per each incident <br /> <br />Each location, incident, non-compliance situation, and/or violation shall be considered separate <br />occurrences and the resulting payments for damages are cumulative (even if occurred on same day). <br /> <br />Best Management Practices (BMPs) <br /> <br />General: <br />1) All construction materials shall be stored at least ten feet away from inlets, catch basins, and <br />curb returns. <br />2) Store materials that have the potential to be transported to the storm drain system, by storm <br />runoff or by a spill, under cover in a contained area or in sealed waterproof containers. <br />3) During wet weather or when rain is in forecast, store materials that can contaminate rainwater <br />or be transported by storm water or other runoff to the storm drain system inside a building or <br />cover them with a tarp or other waterproof material secured with weights to prevent contact <br />with rain <br />4) Use tarps on the ground to collect fallen debris or splatters that could contribute to storm <br />water pollution. <br />5) Secure opened bags of cement and of other light or powdered materials that can be <br />transported by wind. <br />6) Pick up litter, construction debris, and other wastes daily from outside areas including the <br />sidewalk area, gutter, street pavement, and storm drains impacted by the project; all wastes <br />shall be stored in covered containers or disposed of or recycled immediately. <br />7) Install Stabilized Construction Entrance in accordance with Standard Plan 606, as required to <br />prevent material deposit on roadways. <br />8) Inspect vehicles and equipment arriving on-site for leaking fluids, and promptly repair leaking <br />vehicles and equipment; use drip pans to catch leaks until repairs are made. <br />9) Avoid spills by handling materials carefully <br />10) Train employees regularly on good housekeeping practices and BMPs. Assign responsibility <br />to specific employees on BMPs, good housekeeping practices, and what to do in the event of <br />a spill.
