<br /> <br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between <br />City of San Leandro and Silman Industries—Exhibit A Page 30 of 30 <br />Vehicle/Equipment Cleaning <br />1) Vehicle or equipment cleaning shall not be performed on-site or in the street using soaps, <br />solvents, de-greasers, steam cleaning equipment, or equivalent methods. <br />2) Vehicle or equipment cleaning with water only shall be performed in a designated, bermed <br />area that will not allow rinse water to run offsite or into the storm drain system. The rinse <br />water shall be permitted to infiltrate into a dirt area or shall be discharged to the sanitary <br />sewer with the approval of the Engineer. <br />3) Dispose of wash water from the cleaning of water based paint equipment and tools in the <br />sanitary sewer. <br />4) If using oil based paint, to the maximum extent practicable, filter the paint thinner and <br />solvents for reuse, and dispose of the waste thinner, solvent, and sludge from cleaning of <br />equipment and tools as hazardous waste. <br />Drainage Control. <br />1) The Contractor shall maintain drainage within and through the Work areas. <br />2) Earth dams will not be permitted in paved areas. <br />3) Temporary dams of sandbags, asphaltic concrete, or other acceptable material will be <br />permitted when necessary. Such dams shall be removed from the site as soon as their use is <br />no longer necessary. Any impounded water shall be immediately pumped from the site. <br />4) The Contractor is solely responsible for repairs or replacement for any damage caused by his <br />failure for compliance to this Section. <br />Post Construction work: <br /> <br />1) Restore adjacent existing areas that have been damaged from the construction. <br /> <br />2) Clean playground equipment of construction materials, dirt, stains, filings, and <br />blemishes in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, using cleaning.
