Contractor shall maintain an Injury and Illness Prevention Program that conforms with all applicable <br />federal, state, and local laws. <br />8. Demolished material shall become the property of the Contractor. Said material shall be legally <br />handled, transported, and recycled or disposed of off City property. <br />a. Contractor shall complete and submit a Waste Management Plan online with Green Halo <br />Systems (www.greenhalosystems.com or at 1-888-525-1301). Contractor shall create an <br />account with Green Halo and enter project information within 30 days of the notice to proceed. <br />Contractor shall upload recycling and disposal receipts at least once every 30 days thereafter. <br />Contractor shall complete and submit the waste management report before asserting project <br />completion. <br /> <br />Section 2: Environmental <br />Contractor shall: <br />1. Use a floating debris boom to contain any debris that falls in the water <br />2. Remove debris that falls in the water at least twice per work day; no debris shall be left in the water <br />at the end of shift. <br />3. Control dust and runoff from dust control operations. <br />4. Comply with the CEQA/EIR document, a portion of which is repeated herein: <br />a. Emissions (from parts of CEQA Mitigation Measures AIR-5) <br />o All construction equipment shall meet the U.S. EPA Tier 3 requirement (or higher). <br />o During construction, the contractor shall maintain a list of all operating equipment in <br />use on the Project Site. The construction equipment list shall state the makes, models, <br />and numbers of construction equipment on-site. <br />o All construction equipment shall be properly serviced and maintained in accordance <br />with the manufacturer’s recommendations. <br />o The contractor shall ensure that all nonessential idling of construction equipment is <br />restricted to five minutes or less. <br />o Contractor shall submit a list of equipment used <br />b. Aquatic Life (from parts of CEQA Mitigation Measure BIO-1B) <br />a. Adequate measures shall be taken to minimize disturbance and sedimentation in <br />aquatic habitat of the bay, which may include installation of silt curtains, and bubble <br />curtains, around in-water construction zones, restrictions on in-water operations to low <br />tide periods, and timing restrictions for in-water construction, among other possible <br />controls and restrictions. <br />c. Water Quality Impacts (from parts of CEQA Mitigation Measures HYDRO-1A and HYDRO-1B) <br />a. Piles shall be removed during low tide periods to minimize the amount of sediments re- <br />suspended in the water column. <br />b. When removing piles, the pile shall be hit or vibrated first to break the bond with the <br />sediment, which would minimize the likelihood of the pile breaking and reduce the <br />amount of sediment released into the water column. <br />c.
