This task includes:
• Mapping the area’s assets and destination with diagrams.
• Identifying the potential network of pathways and streets.
• Illustrating potential street typologies.
• Selecting examples of streetscape enhancements to support multi-modal pathways and
foster community interaction.
• Exploring ways that wayfinding can be improved.
• Recommendations for open space acreage.
• Identifying a range of open space types, scale, and experiences.
• Exploring locations for new trees and natural features.
• Exploring high level ideas for public art and public realm design features to strengthen
district identity.
• Identifying ways to incorporate stormwater and utilities in the public realm.
Deliverables:
• One section of the Design Framework Presentation
• One category of design criteria for the Evaluation Tool spreadsheet
4.6 Development Capacity Tool and TDM Framework
Arup will create a Development Capacity Tool and TDM Framework. This task includes:
• Review the existing BART demand model outputs (Direct Ridership, Choice Parker
Analysis, and TOD Access models), to validate the future baseline travel assumptions
and mode share.
• Review other travel model outputs for the plan area, including BART ridership, as
relevant and available.
• Develop a spreadsheet-based parking and travel demand model that functions as a
development capacity tool, capable of supporting multi-scenario analysis. This
development capacity tool will assess a development program within a scenario of mode
share targets and roadway and parking capacity. Documentation of methodology,
assumptions and instructions will be included. We assume that BART ridership forecasts
will be provided by BART to serve as an input to this work.
Docusign Envelope ID: 885601F4-01B5-4FAB-A341-08EBC29876AA
