<br /> <br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and March 1, 2025 <br />Micki’s Towing Inc. — Exhibit A Page 3 of 11 <br />Contractor shall notify the Chief of Police or their designee in writing of any sale or disposal of a formerly <br />stored vehicle or vehicle part to an individual known to the Contractor designee or his or her employees to <br />be a City of San Leandro employee. Contractor shall comply with all State law requirements relating to the <br />sale of impounded vehicles, including all required notices and shall maintain true and correct copies of all <br />such records which shall be provided to the City monthly along with the monthly report referenced in the prior <br />paragraph. <br />J. INSURANCE <br />Insurance and endorsements in compliance with the requirements of Section 4 of the Non-Professional <br />Services Agreement and naming the City of San Leandro as an additional insured . <br />K. CONTRACTOR RECORDS, ETC. OPEN TO INSPECTION <br />All records, equipment, and storage facilities shall be open to a periodic inspection by the City Manager, the <br />Chief of Police, or their designees. Any defaults on the part of the Contractor shall be promptly cured as <br />provided under the default provisions of the Non-Professional Services Agreement and subject to the City's <br />right of termination or suspension of the Contractor ability to perform under the Non -Professional Services <br />Agreement. <br />L. IMPOUND REPORTS <br />A Contractor tow unit operator shall sign and complete the necessary portions of the impounding employee's <br />Impound Report (CHP 180). The impounding employee shall retain the original copy of the Impound Report. <br />Contractor shall retain a copy of the Impound Report (CHP 180) for two years. The garage's copy of the <br />Impound Report (CHP 180) shall be used to record the vehicle release information in the appropriate space <br />provided in the Impound Report. True and correct copies of all such reports shall be provide d to the Chief of <br />Police or designee, on a monthly basis. <br />M. NOTIFICATIONS <br />Contractor employees while acting within the course of their employment shall cause the appropriate law <br />enforcement agency to be notified without delay whenever they become aware of a possible crime or other <br />activity requiring action by law enforcement personnel. The Contractor shall notify the SLPD in writing on a <br />weekly basis of the following: <br /> <br />1) All vehicles originally impounded or stored for any reason by a public agency that have remained in <br />storage beyond five (5) calendar days. <br /> <br />2) All vehicles originally impounded with a criminalistics/evidentiary hold, shall be approved by the San <br />Leandro Police Department’s Traffic Sergeant within 5 business days of the impound. If such <br />notification is not made and approved by the Traffic Sergeant , the City of San Leandro will not be <br />liable for the cost associated to the evidentiary hold. <br />N. STORAGE <br />Storage shall commence at the time the vehicle arrives at the Contractor's storage facility. Charges for vehicle <br />storage shall be based on a daily rate. The daily rate extends from midnight to midnight of the following day. <br />All proposals shall include a current and complete schedule of all rates, fees, charges, deposits, or other <br />sums imposed upon persons whose vehicles are towed and/or stored by the Proposer in the performance of <br />the Non-Professional Services Agreement. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: EEDD99C6-8640-4B7E-9983-C4A3C4BC8619
