<br /> <br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and March 1, 2025 <br />Micki’s Towing Inc. — Exhibit A Page 5 of 11 <br />TOWING PROVISIONS <br />A. PLACE TO WHICH VEHICLES SHALL BE TOWED <br />When impounded by the SLPD vehicles shall be taken to the Contractor's primary secured storage facility. If <br />neither the owner nor the driver nor SLPD specifies a destination, is unable to do so, or is not at the scene <br />of removal, the Contractor shall tow the vehicle to Contractor's Primary Storage Facility. <br />B. EVIDENCE TO BE SAFEGUARDED <br />The Contractor shall take all reasonable precautions required by the SLPD to avoid damage to any evidence <br />or impounded vehicles such as fingerprints or stains. Vehicles taken into custody that involve such evidence <br />shall be stored at location designated by the SLPD and shall be secured from access by unauthorized <br />persons. <br />C. REMOVAL CHARGES <br />Towing services shall include the preliminary work necessary for towing, including removal of vehicles from <br />ditches or separation of entangled vehicles, to remove the hazard (vehicle) from the roadway. The vehicle <br />will be moved to the closest and safest location at no cost to the City, and any cost to the owner or driver of <br />the vehicle shall not exceed 50% of the normal hook -up and tow away fee. <br /> <br />STORAGE PROVISIONS <br />A. STORAGE LOT(S) <br />The Contractor shall provide a total storage capability for at least fifty (50) vehicles. Should Contractor provide <br />only one lot, all standards applicable to sections B and C of Article XII below shall apply. Otherwise, <br />Contractor shall comply with sections B, C and D of Article XII below with respect to the lots described in said <br />paragraphs. <br />B. PRIMARY STORAGE LOT <br />The Contractor shall always provide and maintain a Primary Storage Facility with a minimum storage capacity <br />of fifty (50) vehicles dedicated to the storage of vehicles from SLPD pursuant to the Non -Professional <br />Services Agreement. The Primary Storage Facility shall be located within 5 miles of the territorial boundaries <br />of the City of San Leandro. <br /> <br />The storage lot, or Primary Storage Facility if more than one such lot is maintained, shall be: <br />1) Immediately adjacent to or contain office facilities. <br />2) Adequate in size to accommodate all: <br />a. "Hold" vehicles; <br />b. Late model vehicles; <br />c. Oversized Vehicles; <br />d. Specially equipped vehicles; and <br />e.
