<br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between 2/25/2026 <br />City of San Leandro and Julian Tree Care - Exhibit A Page 5 of 5 <br />o Are crossing, rubbing, or poorly attached. <br />o Are large lion tailed and that reach over lanes of traffic and on top of structures. <br /> Cut Type: <br />o Make cuts at lateral branches that are at least 1/4 the diameter of the limb being removed. <br />o Avoid heading cuts unless necessary for safety or clearance. <br />o NOT looking for more lion tailing as that has already been done to these trees <br />o looking for weight reduction cuts and branch removal cuts <br />o <br /> Deadwood Removal: Remove all dead, dying, diseased, or broken branches ≥ ½ inch in diameter. <br /> Clearance: Maintain minimum clearances: <br />o 10 ft from structures <br />o 10 ft from power lines (if applicable) <br />o 12ft above pedestrian pathways <br />o 15 ft above roadways <br />4. Tools & Equipment <br /> Use sterilized, sharp pruning tools: pole saws, hand saws, loppers, chainsaws <br /> Climbing gear or aerial lift (bucket truck) if needed for canopy access <br /> Safety gear: helmets, eye protection, gloves, harnesses <br />5. Timing <br /> Major thoroughfare street do have time restrictions especially near school. See attachments 608 <br />series on traffic control restrictions times. <br /> Noise ordinance allows noise to be made at 7:00am. <br />6.
