Improvements planned for
this ACTIA-funded project include: roadway widening, intersection enhancement, 1-880 on-
ramp modifications and signal modifications.

As part of the project, the entrance to the Greenhouse Marketplace will be expanded to
accommodate traffic turning into the center from westbound W ashington Avenue and provide a
dedicated right-turn exit lane from the shopping center onto Washington Avenue. To expand the
entrance, the sidewalk will be moved back toward the McDonald's property. Within a small
portion of this sidewalk, the City will install signal equipment. The sidewalk is on the property
owned by Safeway, Inc. Therefore, an easement for the continued maintenance of this facility is
required.

Current City Council Policy

. To improve and maintain the City's roadways
