The City
issued Conditions of Approval for this project to Kaiser on April 7, 2010 that addressed the
anticipated increases in traffic around the hospital on Fairway Drive and Merced Street. To
satisfy the Conditions of Approval, Kaiser needs to dedicate right -of -way to the City of San
Leandro. This dedication will accommodate roadway widening, new sidewalk, storm drainage
and traffic signal improvements.
Analysis
Kaiser has developed a parcel map for the site to meet the requirements of the Conditions of
Approval. Parcel Map 10025 will include the following: 1) dedicate right -of -way on Fairway
Drive and Merced Street; 2) document a past lot line adjustment and roadway vacation; 3)
establish public access easements; 4) establish a public utility easement; and 5) combine the
existing Parcels 2, 3 and 4 into a single Parcel B.
