Staff investigated resident concerns and determined
that the installations of stop signs on the minor street approach to clarify the right -of -way will
make the intersections operate more safely than all -way uncontrolled intersections. As
motorists on the minor street approach these intersections, they may not be aware that they
may have to stop. Providing positive traffic control (the motorists either have the right -of -way
or must stop) would increase safety at the intersections.
Analysis
A collision database review found one reported accident at the intersection of Pansy Street
City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 10/11/2011
