p. Residential refuse collection shall be provided using approximately 20-, 32-, 65-, and 95- <br />gallonwheeled carts with securable, attached lids. Residential green waste collection <br />shall be provided using approximately 32-, 65- and 95-gallon wheeled carts with <br />securable, attached lids. City specified size and type (i.e., wheeled carts) for residential <br />refuse and green waste containers. Contractor shall select the size and type of container <br />to be provided for residential recyclables collection and type of container to be provided for <br />residential recyclables collection and commercial collection services. <br />E. All containers shall be a standard color selected by the Contractor. pifferent colors may <br />be selected for refuse, recyclables, and green waste containers. <br />F. Contractor shall select the container manufacturer. <br />G. Contractor responsible for distributing Green Waste Containers to Customers on or about <br />April 1, 2000; Contractor responsible for distributing Single-Stream Recycling Containers <br />to Customers on or about June 1, 2000; Contractor to distribute Automated Curbside <br />Residential Solid Waste Containers to Customers on or about October 1, 2000; and <br />Contractor responsible for distributing all containers as requested by new Customers <br />during the term of the Contract. <br />H. Contractor to repair, clean, paint, and replace containers as needed to maintain a clean, <br />attractive, functional, new-like condition. All graffiti shall be removed within 24 hours of <br />sighting. <br />Contractor shall, at no charge, replace any containers which become unusable by reason <br />of normal wear and tear or damaged by collection operations. The City and Contractor <br />acknowledge that some of the existing Bins and pebris Boxes are in need of replacement <br />and that the Contractor has developed a plan to replace approximately 250 bins per year <br />commencing 7/1/00. <br />The City and Contractor also acknowledge that as of the Effective Date several different <br />types of Green Waste Containers are in service and that these will only be replaced in <br />accordance with 3.B.1. <br />4. Collection Vehicles <br />General <br />Contractor shall provide a fleet of collection vehicles sufficient in number and capacity to efficiently perform <br />the work required by the Agreement in strict accordance with its terms. The Contractor agrees to maintain <br />each piece of equipment used by it in the performance of this Agreement in goad order and repair. <br />Contractor shall have available on service days sufficient backup vehicles and qualified operators to <br />respond to complaints and emergencies. <br />DRAFT a/z4/oo Page Z of 11 <br />
