(f) Storage. Contractor shall arrange to store all vehicles and other equipment in safe and secure <br />location(s) in accordance with City's applicable zoning regulations. <br />Operation <br />All vehicles must be registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State of California and <br />inspected by the California Highway Patrol at the frequency required by the state. Vehicles shall be <br />operated in compliance with the California Vehicle Code and all applicable safety and local ordinances. <br />Contractor shall not load collection vehicles in excess of the manufacturer's recommendations or <br />limitations imposed by state or local weight restrictions on vehicles. <br />Contractor shall use all reasonable means to minimize any backing of collection and street sweeping <br />vehicles. <br />If the age of a collection vehicle reaches 15 years, the Contractor must notify the Gity. This equipment <br />shall be subject to inspection by the City or its designee. <br />5. Collection Schedule <br />A. If the day of collection on any given route falls on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, or <br />Christmas Day, the Contractor shall provide collection service far such route on the next <br />workday following such Holiday and shall not provide collection service on such holiday. <br />In the event the holiday schedule of the Designated Disposal Facility or Designated Green <br />Waste Processing Facility are different than the holidays stated herein, the holiday <br />schedule will be adjusted. <br />B. Collection service hours under the Franchise Agreement are subject to change by City <br />Council in the exercise of its reasonable discretion. <br />C. The Contractor shall provide one pickup per week for residential cart Customers from the <br />curbside (with the exception of backyard service far physically impaired individuals and for <br />Customers paying additional charge for backyard service). <br />D. The Contractor shall provide at least once weekly pickup for residential bin subscribers <br />and commercial cart and bin subscribers from a location designated by the property <br />owner. <br />E. Residential recyclables and green waste shall be collected on the same day as refuse. <br />6. Collection Routes <br />A.
