uniform and efficient collection services. <br />B. The Contractor shall submit route plans to the City Representative for informational <br />purposes at the start of the contract, one year prior to the end of the contract, at end of the <br />contract term and whenever there is a significant routing change. The route plans shall <br />identify the course each vehicle follows, the properties served, approximate starting and <br />ending time for each route, the day of week the route will be served, etc. <br />C. Materials collected shall not be mixed in Contractor's collection equipment with any <br />materials collected from another municipality. <br />7. Collection Requirements <br />Care of Private Property <br />Reasonable care shall be used by the Contractor's employees in handling all collection containers and <br />enclosures, and all damage caused thereto by the negligence or carelessness of the Contractor's <br />employees shall be promptly adjusted with the owner thereof. All collection containers after emptying <br />thereof by the Contractor's employees shall be returned to within 5 feet of the location from which the same <br />were picked up by the Contractor's employees, upright with lids properly secured, and Contractor's <br />employees shall use all reasonable means to insure same are not deposited in a manner that blocks any <br />driveway, sidewalk, or street. Contractor shall ensure that its employees close all gates opened by them in <br />making collections, unless otherwise directed by the customer, and avoid crossing landscaped areas and <br />climbing orjumping over hedges and fences. City shall refer complaints about damage to private property <br />to Contractor. Contractor shalt repair all damage to private property caused by its employees. <br />Noise <br />All collection operations shall be conduced as quietly as possible and shall conform to applicable federal, <br />state, county and City noise level regulations, including the requirement that the noise level during the <br />stationary compaction process not exceed 60 decibels with the exceptions of 65 decibels for 1-minute <br />duration at a distance of 50 feet. The City may conduct random checks of noise emission levels to ensure <br />such compliance. Contractor shall promptly resolve any complaints of noise to the satisfaction of the City <br />Representative. <br />Record of Noncollection <br />When any materials deposited for collection is not collected by the Gontractor for sufficient reason, <br />Contractor shall provide notice at feast 2 inches x 6 inches in size at Contractor's cost. The notice shall <br />provide the Contractor's phone number and indicate the reasons for Contractor's refusal to collect the <br />DRAFT 1/24/00 Page 5 of 1 ]. <br />
