The plans and specifications shall set forth the details of the construction including sitework, landscaping, structural systems, architectural systems, electrical systems (lights, power, phone, data), mechanical systems, security systems (building alarm and surveillance), plumbing systems and on and off site utilities as required. The work shall include built-in cabinetry in the program rooms, restrooms, lounge, and reception desk, and the equipment in the kitchen. A projector and retractable screen shall be specified at the multi-purpose along with an A V system capable of running computer displays, VHS and DVD entertainment and including a microphone system for voice. It is anticipated that one or more doors will use electronic locks The Consultant shall assist the City in applying for and obtaining a building permit from the City of San Leandro Community Services Department (requires submission of plans, specifications, and calculations, response to comments, and resubmittals as required to gain approval). Consultant shall request utility information from appropriate agencies and determine connection points. Consultant shall include in the construction documents appropriate provisions requiring the construction contractor to provide the documents needed for the USGBC submittal to obtain LEED certification. The construction contractor shall be directed to monitor, photograph, collect cut sheet submittals and other documentation, including documentation related to, but not limited to, source separation and recycling of job site materials.
