EXHIBIT AS <br />DRAFTING/DESIGN REQi1IREMENTS <br />Plans and Maps shall be prepared on 24"x36" sheets and shall be formatted as required to obtain a <br />Caltrans encroachment permit. If metric units are used then English equivalents shall be shown (dual unit <br />method). <br />All work shall be in accordance with City of San Leandro Standard Plans and Caltrans Standard Plans. <br />Applicable details from either plan book shall be included on the drawing sheets. <br />All plans and maps shall be prepared with Autodesk Autocad version 2004 or newer. Consultant shall <br />deliver .dwg files for all drawing sheets. <br />Work shall be dimensioned sufficiently to be constructed, both horizontal and vertical locations shall be <br />shown. <br />Plans shall include, but not be limited to, layout sheets, improvement plans, striping plans, traffic control <br />plans, sections, details, and notes. <br />Lineweights shall be such that the work is easily interpreted. Where new work is shown, existing features <br />shall be screened back so that the new work is prominent. Existing features shall be noted or otherwise <br />indicated as such so that there is no ambiguity between new work and existing features. <br />Text shall be 3/32" tall minimum. Text shall not be overwritten by lines or other text. Text refemng to a <br />drafted item shall have a leader with an arrow. The arrow shall actually touch the referenced item. Text <br />shall only be oriented horizontal, so that it reads `upward', or in the quadrant between the two. No text <br />shall be more than 135 degrees rotated from any other text. All abbreviations shall be defined in a legend. <br />Details, plans, elevations, etc. shall be arranged and numbered on the sheets in a regular consistent <br />pattern. <br />Specifications shall be written and printed with times new roman font at 11 point. Specifications shall be <br />edited such that only materials, procedures, and execution specific to this project are included. Front end <br />specifications shall be based upon Part one of the Greenbook and City of San Leandro standard <br />modifications. Technical specifications shall be based on section 10 through 95 of Caltrans standard <br />specifications, with project specific modifications prepared by the Consultant. The City shall provide <br />their front end standard modifications to the Consultant. Consultant shall review and complete the front <br />end modifications so that they complement the technical specifications to completely describe the project. <br />No work shown on the plans or included in the specs shall be `design build' unless it is specifically listed <br />herein, or approved in writing by a representative of the city. <br />Consulting Services Agreement between May 13, 2005 <br />City of San Leandro and Hams & Associates Page 18 of 20 <br />
