CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />City Councilmembers report on their activities, including attendance at Intergovernmental <br />Agency meetings, conferences and seminars, and local events, and make brief announcements <br />on issues of concern. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Starosciak made the following intergovernmental agency reports: the League of <br />California Cities is attempting to collect one million signatures to place an initiative on the <br />November ballot; and the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (ACCMA) <br />discussed the federal Jobs for Main Street Act of 2010. <br /> <br />Councilmember Prola reported the following: <br /> <br />He and Mayor Santos met with representatives from ICI Development on March 3; and <br />they met with Airport Noise/Environmental Supervisor Larry Galindo regarding airport <br />traffic in District 6. <br /> <br />He attended the Advanced Placement (AP) art reception at the San Leandro Art Gallery <br />and History Museum; the Wa Sung crab feed to fund scholarships; and a Business <br />Womens Forum at the Marina Inn. <br />th <br /> <br />The Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District will celebrate its 80 Anniversary. <br />Mosquito reports are increasing due to recent rains. <br /> <br />He attended the recent Coffee with the Mayor at Mission Bay Mobile Home Park, which <br />was very well attended. Two concerns voiced at the meeting were about San Leandro <br />Hospital and the proposed budget cuts. <br /> <br />He commented on the State takeaways, and their devastating effects on cities, counties, <br />school districts and special districts. <br /> <br />Councilmember Stephens reported the following: <br /> <br />
