Task 4: ROW ASSISTANCE (OPTIONAL-Only at Direction of the City) <br />Consultant shall perform Right-of-Way (ROW) research by gathering information for property <br />boundary, easements, and datum control monumentation and utility/infrastructure data. <br />Consultant shall research record maps filed within the City recorder’s office, and County GIS <br />information. Consultant office survey staff shall calculate the record right-of-way and boundary <br />mapping information within an AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 drawing. City shall pay for any title <br />reports that are necessary. <br /> <br />Deliverables: ROW map (11” x 17) 3 hard copies, and ACAD files. <br />Schedule: 9 weeks after completion of task 2 <br /> <br />Task 5: GEOTECHNICAL EXPLORATION <br />The Consultant shall commission a geotechnical investigation, testing, and analysis program to <br />provide geotechnical design for the project. <br /> <br />The purposes of the geotechnical investigation will be to 1) characterize the geotechnical <br />conditions at the site to provide geotechnical parameters for design and 2) complete and <br />document analyses in conformance with requirements for FEMA certification of the flood <br />protection. <br /> <br />Consultant shall complete the following tasks in support of the project: <br />• Review existing documents that have been prepared for the site and other published <br />geotechnical and geologic maps and reports that are relevant to the site. <br />• Prepare and implement a geotechnical exploration and testing work plan. <br />• Complete geotechnical analyses including settlement, stability, and seepage to support design <br />of the improvements. <br />• Develop and provide geotechnical recommendations for design, construction, and <br />maintenance. <br />• Prepare a geotechnical report which includes the results of the investigation and analyses. <br />• Provide geotechnical review of the project plans to confirm adherence with geotechnical <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />Deliverables: Geotechnical report: (1) Hard Copy and (1) electronic Adobe Acrobat (PDF) copy <br />Schedule: Part 1, All tasks except review of PS&E 11 weeks after completion of task 4 <br /> Part 2, Review of PS&E 2 weeks after 75% submittal <br /> <br />Task 6: DESIGN CRITERIA AND PRELIMINARY PLAN <br />Consultant shall document the applicable FEMA levee accreditation requirements and USACE <br />design and construction guidelines in a Design Criteria Memorandum. <br /> <br />Consultant shall develop preliminary design cross sections and submit them to the City for <br />review. The resulting cross sections shall be used to develop the grading extents to achieve 100- <br />year protection with the appropriate freeboard. Consultant shall use the cross sections to refine <br />the grading and/or floodwall extents in the base drawing. <br /> <br />1121
