the Irrigation Plan and submitted to the City within five working days of the completion of <br />the work. <br /> <br />506 Repair and replace , After the Lateral Tee and Extra Work <br /> <br />(a) All irrigation parts and materials which are damaged or broken shall be reported to the <br />City. Upon request, Contractor shall then submit in writing a written proposal for repair <br />and/or replacement. A City representative shall then determine if work shall be done by <br />Contractor or a City crew. <br /> <br />(b) Contractor is responsible for any damage caused by Contractor. For any repair work <br />performed by the City, which is at fault by the Contractor, shall be charged against the <br />Contractor’s monthly account (Contractor shall have opportunity to perform repairs, which <br />meet the City’s irrigation standards, first). If the contractor agrees to perform extra <br />irrigation work, it must be performed within 48 hours of the request unless otherwise <br />specified by the City and agreed to by the contractor. <br /> <br />(c) If the work is not performed within the agreed upon time frame the repair cost may be <br />withheld from the monthly payments. This work normally includes broken sp rinklers, <br />lateral lines and occasionally mainlines. When lateral and mainline repairs are made, the <br />City must be given the opportunity to inspect the work before it is covered up. The <br />contractor shall take pictures of the broken pipe or fittings, before an d after the work is <br />performed and provide the photos to the Parks Supervisor. <br /> <br />(d) If a City representative is not available to inspect the work and photos are not taken of the <br />work the contractor may be required to uncover the work so that it can be inspecte d at no <br />extra cost to the City.
