TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />600 WEED CONTROL AND ABATEMENT <br />601 Definitions and Inclusions <br />Below are the definitions used in this section: <br />•Medians – within the center right of way between lanes of travel <br />•Landscape Strip – within right of way between sidewalk and back of curb or within a <br />planter bed/landscape area in a city facility parking lot <br />•City Facilities – landscaping or hardscape within city facilities perimeter boundaries – <br />planter beds <br />1.Full Landscape Areas – medians, landscape strips, city facilities <br />a.Irrigation is in working order, plant material is generally healthy and filling 75% <br />or more of the area <br />2.Partial Landscape Areas – medians, landscape strips, city facilities <br />a.Irrigation is in working order although some heads are capped <br />b.Plant material is not fully filled in, and there are partial bare spots <br />3.Formerly or Never Landscaped Areas – medians, landscape strips <br />a.Bare dirt that may or may not be mulched <br />b.Non working irrigation – mostly capped <br />c.And, is adjacent to and within the same continuous median , landscape strip or <br />city facility planter bed perimeter <br />4.Hardscape only – within medians <br />a.Never planted or irrigated <br />b.Stamped concrete, pavers <br />c.Island of hardscape not adjacent to landscape area <br />5.Hardscape within landscape areas – medians <br />a.Never planted or irrigated <br />b.Stamped concrete, pavers <br />c.But, is adjacent to and within the same continuous median perimeter <br />d.A combination of hardscape and landscaped areas within a continuous median <br />perimeter <br />6.Curb and Gutter; Sidewalk - Roadways <br />a.Hardscape, no landscaping <br />b.Weed abatement required on semi annual basis <br />c.Generally, specific arterials and roadways <br />7.Pedestrian Walkways and Parking Lots within City Facility Footprint <br />8.Trees within sidewalk ROW <br />a.Tree well with or without a tree <br />9.Identified Locations throughout the City where weed abatement does not meet one of <br />these definitions but where knock down/mowing may be required <br />Exhibit A <br />Page 40 of 55 <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: DEF5307A-6F44-4C74-86C2-5E2B3E67B647
