Resolution Opposing State Budget Decisions that Would "Borrow" Local Government, <br />Redevelopment and Transportation Funds (adopts resolution as recommended by the <br />League of California Cities). Matter of Consideration of Placing Measures on the November 4, 2008 Election <br />Ballot. <br />• Resolution Establishing November 4, 2008, as the Date for an Election on a <br />Proposed Ballot Measure Seeking Voter Approval to Modify the City's Existing <br />Utility Users' Tax for General Fund Purposes, Establishing the Policies and <br />Procedures for Such an Election and Requesting that the County of Alameda <br />Conduct Such an Election (proposes a measure to modernize the Utility Users' <br />Tax [UUT] Ordinance by lowering the rate for telecommunication and video <br />services from 6% to 5.7%, and authorizes the Revenue Ad Hoc Committee of the <br />City Council to prepare an argument and a rebuttal argument in favor of the <br />measure).
